Twenty-six students representing the Dillon County Technology Center’s Welding Program had the opportunity to be selected by their fellow classmates and instructor, Jerry Bullard to win a welding machine of their choice.
Seventy-five youth and adult supervisors from all parts of our state will come together at Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon on Saturday, July 7 as part of the Salkehatchie Harvest Camp program for a week of hard work in difficult conditions, repairing and upgrading six houses belonging to underprivileged Dillon County families.

The Latta School Board of Trustees met for the regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the District Administrative Conference Room.
After input from the community in a public forum the Latta School Board of Trustees voted unanimously to collect tuition fees from non-resident students enrolled in the district’s schools consistent with S. C. State law and current school board policy.
