Part I: My Most Momentous and Memorable Moments
I want to share something today that will require next week’s edition of my column to complete.

For quite some time now, I have wrestled with the idea of doing a piece on the 2nd Amendment.
When the idea for this edition of my column originally came into my mind, I first wanted to name it in honor of my great-grandma who raised my mother (when she was only around twelve years old) after her mother passed away.
The idea for this article that you are reading today came to me a few nights ago while riding in my car.
In just a few days, children in our locale who attend kindergarten — 12th grade will be returning to school.
With all the bickering, contention, and disputing that is going on in our nation, especially from a political, ideological, and racial aspect, one has to wonder whether or not this nation will ultimately live up to the origin of its creed.
I recently ran into a man at one of my favorite and routine business places, where I patronize almost daily, to get some of their delicious coffee.
Last year about this time or perhaps a little earlier (right before the summer season officially started), I did an article about the “Dragon of Summer’s Heat and Humidity.”
Just when I was preparing to get started on writing about a particular issue for my column today, my intention of writing about the matter was preempted by the urgency of an escalating evil that is transpiring in Dillon, especially in Newtown.
In my column today, I want to consider an issue that is seldom contemplated or discussed by most.
