The Dillon County Council passed the third reading of an ordinance for installment payments of real property taxes at their last meeting.
A public hearing was held on the matter at the beginning of the meeting. Citizen, Charles Scott, spoke at the public hearing urging the council to pass the third reading saying he thought it would help poor people and small businesses of the county and that council should make that option available.
When the ordinance came up for the third reading, council approved it.
