The Dillon Wildcats varsity baseball lost 5-0 to May River on Tuesday, April 23, in a game played in Bluffton against May River in the Class 3A District VIII playoffs.
May River placed a run on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second inning and added 3 runs in the bottom of the third inning and the final run in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Dillon managed only 3 hits in the game. Tristan Brigman connected for 2 hits in 3 at-bats while Quamez Graves had a hit in 2 at-bats.
May River connected for 8 hits in the game.
Cooper George picked up the win. He pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed 3 hits, no earned runs, walked 1, and struck out 3.
Tristan Brigman was charged with the loss. He pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed 7 hits, 5 runs of which 4 were earned, walked 8, and struck out 1.
The Dillon Wildcats will travel to play Academic Magnet today (Thursday, April 25) at 5:00 p.m. at the Shipyard Park.
