Dillon County Shooters Place In State Championships
The Dillon County 4-H Shooting Sports team competed in the 4-H State Skeet and Trap Championships held at Mid Carolina Gun Club on Saturday, April 20, and at the South Carolina Youth Shooting Foundation State Sporting Clay Championship held at Rocky Creek on Saturday, May 11.

Dixie Youth Tuesday Roundup: Tigers, Pirates Share Lead
The True Value Tigers won their second straight game last night, stopping the Burger King Braves, 11-8, in the first of two games at Michael Lecholop Park. The Physicians Healthcare Pirates eked out a 3-1 win over the McLeod Health Marlins in the second game and share the lead with the Tigers going into Thursday’s action.

Dixie Youth Roundup: Marlins Down Braves, Hurricanes Up-End Justice Rangers
Knox Jackson’s walk-off double in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the McLeod Health Marlins to a 7-6 extra inning victory over the Burger King Braves on Monday to start the second half of the Kiwanis Dixie Youth Baseball season.

Latta Edges Lake View 3-2 to Claim Lower State Championship
Lake View’s Wild Gators defeated Johnsonville 5-4 to advance to the Lower State championship game against Latta on Friday, where the Vikings earned a 3-2 come-from-behind win to advance to the state championship series for the first time since 1966.
