A charge of breach of peace lodged against former Dillon County Chief Deputy Douglas Pernell has been dismissed, according to Fourth Circuit Solicitor Will Rogers.
A missing woman has been reported in Dillon. According to a report by City of Dillon Police Officer Monroe Herring, Georgia Bethea Billings, age 66, of 506 North 11th Avenue, Dillon, was last seen on June 26th around 11 a.m.

The District Three Ponytails Sub-District Championship and District Three Belles Dillon Championship were held in Dillon on Monday, June 20, through Friday, June 24, with Dillon’s teams dominating both tournaments.
The 13-14 year old Dillon Dixie Boys Allstars defeated Darlington and Marlboro County over the weekend to advance to the finals of the District Three Sub-District Championship Tournament.
The Dillon Ponytails claimed the District Three Sub-District championship title on Friday night against Mullins and will move on to face Sumter tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Dillon for the first of a best of three series to determine the District Championship.
