The Dillon Wildcats lost another heartbreaker to Johnsonville in the bottom of the seventh inning 2-1 in varsity baseball action played Thursday, April 28, in Johnsonville.
Daylen Powell pitched the complete 7-inning game. He struck out 6, walked 2, and allowed one run in the win over the Wildcats in Class @a District VII playoffs.
Johnsonville scored the first run of the game in the bottom of third inning before Dillon knotted the game at 1 in the top of fifth inning.
Lex Tuten connected for a single and Jakob Marlowe scored from third to give Johsonville the victory.
Dillon managed 5 hits and committed 2 errors while Johnsonville garnered 9 hits and did not commit any errors.
Senior Austin Moody connected on 1 hit in 3 at-bats for the Wildcats while Lex Tuten was perfect at the plate for Johnsonville with 4 hits and 2 rbi in his 4 trips to the plate.
The Dillon Wildcats have lost a total of 7 games in the seventh inning this year.
